Being rich is not selfish

The thought of being rich is often seen as something negative. You hear people all the time talking about rich people in a negative light.

  • “She can do that because she’s RICH”
  • “Rich people think they’re better than anyone else”
  • “Rich people don’t contribute anything, they just take”

These are common things I hear about rich people all the time. Last year there was a report about the basketball player Lebron James moving to the Los Angeles Lakers, after years of playing for the Cleveland team.

Cleveland recognized that this was a huge loss. Not just for the team. When a person that makes that amount of money moves to a city, it helps the whole economy. Sales and employment are immediately affected. Not to mention taxes.

Can you imagine if 100 “rich people” move to a small area? Think about the mental impact that it can have on the community.

This should light a bigger fire under your butt to earn the riches you’ve always wanted. How will you having lots of money affect your life, family, community, city and country?

Your fears are affecting the world

It is so easy to stay in our comfort zone while wallowing in our fears. Fear of failure, fear of being seen as an imposter, fear of not being good enough and fear of being made fun of.

In general, we feel like that fear is only affecting us. Like our finances, our families and our lifestyle.

What we don’t think about often is how holding on to that fear affects us from serving our purpose and living it to the fullest. Which of course will affect the whole world.

Each one of us has a part to play in bettering the world.

Not just the politicians and the great big leaders. Like them or not, they’ve already stepped up.

Step up and live out your purpose.

Often people struggle with the word purpose. Not knowing exactly what their purpose is.

To find your purpose, simply ask yourself this question: How is someone’s life better because she has crossed your path?

If we all lived on purpose, the world would be a better, happier place.

Success is an inside job.

Success is 90% mindset and only 10% strategy. This is why it’s important to remember all the reasons why it’s good to be rich. This gives you leverage to go do that thing you’ve been wanting to do.

Getting your mindset in order will fully change the way you do business and the amount of money you make.

Here are a few journaling questions to help you work on the mindset aspect of success.

  • What is the next level you’re trying to achieve?
  • Why is it important for you to achieve it?
  • Who do you have to become in order to achieve it?
  • Why can you not have it?
  • How can you see those things differently?

Stop bad mouthing rich people

If you are one of the people who is speaking negatively about rich people, you are doing yourself a disservice. It’s either you stop bad mouthing the 1% or give up on your millionaire dreams. Otherwise, you’re really just speaking negatively about your future self, which hinders its creation.

Thoughts become things!
